I haven't checked the IMO website yet, but I believe it's the same meteor 
calendar that was recently sent out? If it is, you will notice that there are 
some gaps to the 5 day intervals thru out the year....particularly from 
February thru May. Then it stays somewhat true until the last 10 days of the 
year. No big deal unless you are a new observer and happened to observe 
during these periods. It might cause a little confusion then, but as to 
reducing the effectiveness of determining whether any particular meteor is a 
shower member or not, it shouldn't cause too much of a problem.
