Re: (meteorobs) Fwd: South Polar meteor data??

There is probably some more recent work, but the following may be of some
use

Harrison, D.P. 1962 Radio-echo observations of aurorae and meteors. (In
Brunt, D., ed. The Royal Society International Geophysical Year
Antarctic Expedition, Halley Bay, Coats Land, Falkland Islands
Dependencies, 1955-59. II Radio astronomy, ionospheric physics.
   London, Royal Society, 61-117.)

Shipstone, D.M. 1972 A study of the aurorae and meteors at Halley Bay
during the I.Q.S.Y. British Antarctic Survey, Scientific Report
   No. 74

This latter paper basically only says there is a pronounced summer peak.
