(meteorobs) Pre-Dawn Obs July 23/24 and 25/26

As with much of the East Coast, my July was shrouded in clouds and
the new moon period was almost a total loss. With only a few days left
until full moon, I was finally able to get two isolated periods in just
before dawn, this past Saturday and Monday mornings....
Saturday morning threatened to be a complete wash -- however things

finally cleared to a haze that left me with just enough LM to work with
right before dawn. I observed nine meteors during the 50 minutes or so
while I waited for the sky to clear, then nine more during the official
period.

_______________________________________________
On Monday morning I must have misread my planetarium software,
as it indicated a setting moon at around 4:00 UT. However, the moon
actually didn't set until more like 4:30, so this period was observed
under
moonlight until that time. Rates were high from then until just after
9:00
UT, as I saw 12 meteors in only 35 minutes of Teff. For what it's
worth, here it is...
