Hello Pierre,

From my experience, I think this has been a CAP rather than a KCG. We have
had a number of such cases in the Netherlands, in some cases with
photographic data indicating a CAP. It is a source for a long lasting
discussion among Dutch observers; do k Cygnids have definite activity just
before and during the Perseid maximum, or are (much) of these Capricornids?
When appearing in the North, the radiants line up pretty well as you note.
It would be rather early in August for a KCG to appear. Kappa Cygnids
anyway are a somewhat 'troublesome' stream; Lindblad, from analysis of IAU
database orbits, found that what commonly is called 'the' k Cygnid stream
in reality is a whole complex of little streams spreading from the Cygnus
wing into Draco. Thus, the radiant area also is rather diffuse making for
some classification problems. But the more interesting a target for
observations this stream complex therefore is!

Here in the Netherlands, last night was lost in fog. We hope to be able to
be out tonight.
