(meteorobs) Re: Teff



"Teff" is an abbreviation for effective observing time. It is standard for
an observer to report their observations in one or more observing periods.
To make these periods worthwhile for analysis, they should be a minimum of
one hour or more in length if possible. Keep in mind that if you take a
break during a given observing period, you must subtract this time from the
period. For example, if you took a 10 minute break, you should make that
observing period 70 minutes long so that you'll have 1 hour of "effective
observing time." There are also other deductions you might need to make,

Perseids were a wash out here in northcentral PA. Heavy cloud cover.

A question: I see messages referring to "3 hours Teff".  What is "Teff"?

I just ordered 3 rolls of T-max 3200 film. I'm gonna bag some meteors yet!
