Malcolm is referring to SIrko's MetSim. a program which simulates meteors 
on your computer screen. It's like a practice session for high rates, since 
you can get an impression of what 40 a second looks like. It is available 
for download in the Software section of the IMO's home page at
http://www.imodot net/
It's rather fun, and it does allow you to practice estimating high rate 
counts.
