Camera Captures Meteor's Passage

A flash in the night sky seen across much of the Western United States late
Sunday night was a meteor, according to a Sandia National Laboratories
scientist who caught the event on videotape.
A special video camera outside Albuquerque recorded the exceptionally bright
meteor at 11:18 p.m. Sunday, a success for an unusual attempt by New Mexico
scientists to track the ephemeral objects that streak across the night sky.
