Re: (meteorobs) Radio Observation of Meteors (very short)



	The general thumbrules concerning radiometeor relationships with radio
frequency / wavelength are as followws:

1.  Hourly rates are roughly proportional to wavelength

2.  Echo duration is roughly proportional to wavelength^2

3.  Echo peak power is roughly proportional to wavelength^3


This is why the lowest possible frequency is usually sought after, without
getting into the region of normal ionospheric propagation.
