Re: (meteorobs) cold nights



Luis, imagine this (18. november 1998):
It's -15 degrees Celsius with 30 km/h winds, and your observing period lasts 8 hours :)
Compared to this, the summer observing is like fun in the sun :)

Seriously, you migh want to try wearing several layers of clothing - they do much better at keeping you warm than a single thick layer. All of your body should be covered evenly - there is no point in wearing 10 layers of clothes on your legs while your arms are freezing...
If there is a strong wind, it's good to find some place that is shielded or make a wind shield yourself...

...anyway, these were some advices from an observer with 5+ years of experience of freezing while watching. :))
