Re: (meteorobs) Radio?

"Radio Science Observing, volume 1" by Joseph J. Carr
(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0790611279/qid=935575136/sr=1-1/002-5555525-9021665)
has a chapter on listening to meteor reflections. This is something you
can do with a simple radio or television setup.

You don't have to have a ham license to do this. (Getting a ham license
is pretty easy and fun. Check out http://www.arrl.org/ for details.
There are a bunch of amateur built satellites you can talk through and
we are putting a ham station on the International Space Station at the
end of the year.)
