Subject: Observation

I just witnessed a spectacular fireball and am writing on spec just to
share. I found you in a newsgroup after getting home

I was walking in north western Calgary Alberta Canada at 10:22 PM MDT and
observed a remarkable fireball.

It was travelling south to north in the north eastern sky at an apparent
angle of between 45 and 60 Degrees. It had a single very bright head about
four times the diameter of Venus and a similar colour(white-blue). A trail a
great many smaller, more red-orange in colour followed over about 5 to 7
degrees of arc. The fireball burnt up about 20 Deg above the NE horizon.

Please be in touch if this is of interest or to suggest sights on the
internet that I might visit to learn more.
