Sounds like you have your plotting tools and techniques all lined
up now, Dr. Howard! :) Just a quick note on your Improved method:

As some folks have mentioned, Kim, be sure you plot your meteors
based on their path RELATIVE TO THE STARS. If you also want to
record a meteor path length independently, as a cross-check for
your meteor plots later, go for it: but try not to let any path-
length estimates "bias" your memory of the path while plotting!
