Re: (meteorobs) - meteor sighting Tuesday morning

What a great description of your fireball sighting!  I wish - as I'm sure
everyone on the list wishes - I could have been there to see that. That far
outstrips any fireball I've ever seen including one I witnessed as a kid
playing "capture the flag": a fireball lit up the ground like daylight. I
looked up in time to see it burst apart into four or five separate pieces
that then steaked beyond a nearby mountain. Like yours there was no sound. I
have yet to see one horizon to horizon so-to-speak.
I'm not a technical observer yet myself, and read this digest to
learn (and I have been!).
I do enjoy reading about spectacular sightings like yours, so keep 'em
coming!
