Re: (meteorobs) Meteor plotting example

Hello yk,
I don't know of any software personally, but it seems like one of the meteorobs posters recently (about a month ago) did mention a program he had that he used to print out charts, I doubt that these would have been gnomonic (Brno Atlas) charts, but they may be useful, I don't know.  I, too, would be glad to know if there is such software available, but given all the experienced observers (of whom I am not one, but I'm working on it) use copies of masters obtained through NAMN and the IMO, I doubt there is any better way.  I have been going to the copier quite often, rather than my printer!  (I  received my set of charts through NAMN).
Actually, your desire to see a real example of a chart that has been plotted is something I'd like to see too!  But if there is no website with such a visual, you may have to settle for having one of the "list elves" (I'm not an elf, by the way, I'm the kid who gets the presents) sending you a copy of one of his/her charts.
In any event, I will again defer to those who know better, for a list of any web sites that may help, or maybe Santa Lew will send you some of his old Charts!

Good Luck,  Kim S. Youmans

Hi  Kim & all:

I am interested to see real  example of chart plotting from
observed meteors. ( Appreciate a link to these web sites).

Is there any software out that there that can produce gnominic
projection? I know my Skypro 5 can't.

    Thanks
