(meteorobs) Fw: Meteor sighting
Below is a report of a possible fireball witnessed from the Boston area,
possibly the "Letterman" fireball posted by Joe. Btw Lew, I will try to
obtain more precise information and forward it, along with any others I
receive, to Andre in hopes of getting some reports in FIDAC
"News"..... ;)

At approximately 2145hrs. EDT I observed an unusually bright meteor from
Boston's Back Bay area. While walking in a southerly direction I observed
the
meteor for about a second, it too in a southerly direction at about 11:00 to
my right and about at a 30 to 40 degree angle. I have not observed such a
bright and "fizzly" meteor since the late 60's when I observed a pre dusk
meteor in Pennsylvania. This is considering that due to light pollution in
the area one can barely detect any stars only what I believe to be planets
in
the evening sky.
