Cathy and other Project ASTRO friends: The following Web site contains some
WONDERFUL resources for preparing kids for the upcoming Leonid meteor shower!
Included on the site are extensive lesson planning materials, among them
"Meteor
Math", Kids' Stories about meteors (both 2nd-4th and 5th-8th), Meteor
Classroom
Simulations, and my favorite "Star War: Battle of the Visual Magnitude". :)
Check it out, and please pass on to other local (and non-local) Project ASTRO
partnerships, if they might find it useful for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
