Donnie,
     If you live in VA, why not try the mountains?   In any event, I would
STAY ON THE EAST COAST:>!
    My own appraoch is simply to "map out" possible sites with about a 200
mile (my limit due to work) radius of home.  Then I let the weather determine
where I go.  This worked OK last year -- but who knows what monstrous cloud
cover may appear this year...with my hometown dead center!   Good Luck!
