RE: (meteorobs) NASA Meteor Balloon Lift-off



The radiant does not rise above their horizon till about then, but I think
they are still a little late, because a horizontal meteor can go a long 
distance.  At high altitude one can see a long distance, even to the edge 
of the predicted visibility area in the IMO journal.

If the peak Leonid shower is projected to occur about 02:00 UT on 
November 18th, why is the NASA meteor balloon lifting off at 06:30 UT on 
November 18th??
