    An interesting paper on the use of reflection gratings to obtain meteor
spectra has been published in the Journal of the British Astronomical
Association, 109, 4, 1999,  "High resolution spectra and monochromatic
images of a flaring 1991 Perseid meteor" by Dr. David Airey.  This is a very
interesting paper if you have access to large reflection gratings.  Normally
only transmission gratings are used for meteor spectroscopy.
