Re: (meteorobs) november 5 fireball

My son and I were out Nov 5 (Actually Nov 6 AM). We were tuning up for
the leonids, Indentifying some constellations, finding our LM areas,
picking out some reference stars for magnitude comparison etc. At ~ 12:26
AM we saw a nice -2 descend from auriga through Gemini, as it left Gemini
towards the eastern horizon it flashed into approx magnitude -5 (I still
have difficulty estimating > -4.... maybe a good time to review, before the
Leonids.....) then dimmed back to ~-1 before extinguishing. I wasn't really
prepared for it, and didn't check the time 'til ~ 5 minutes later, then
estimated the actual time. I guess I'd call it a sporadic, do I have enough
info to make a valid fireball report????
