(meteorobs) Sighting over Flint, MI
Hello from Flint, MI-
At approximately 2108 hrs while sitting in my hot tub I
observed a meteorite. Looking south the object became visible about ten
degrees southwest of Jupiter and crossed approximately 35 to 45 degrees of the
sky. It was visible for 2 seconds with the vapor trail rapidly
disappearing. On a magnitude scale it was brighter than Jupiter but not as
bright as a quarter moon.
The sky was somewhat hazy from the lights of the
city.
Nevertheless a very good sighting.
