(meteorobs) Fwd: Sporadics from Gemini

Eric, you don't mention where you were facing, or how fast the meteors you saw
appeared to be, nor roughly how many you saw: You quite possibly saw a large
number of chance alignments, perhaps because you were facing AWAY from Gemini?

But it is also possible that you were seeing some somewhat unusual activity from
the Alpha Monocerotids, which I myself noted on 16/17 and 17/18 Nov: the AMOs
had a radiant less than 20o degrees South and East of Gemini then.

Did anyone else record (or even bother to notice) slightly high AMO numbers?

Clear skies!

There was a paucity of Leonids. Some sporadics seem to come from the
direction of Gemini. Anyone else notice some activity coming from that area?
