Subject: [IMO-News] Leonids from Como (Italy)

Observative site: Lenno, on the west side of Lake of Como (Italy)
Observers: Corrado Lamberti, Giusi Galli
Meteorological conditions: Great! No clouds, dry air, dark sky at zenith (l=
im mag. about 5.5).

Great activity all the time from 1h 30m UT to about 2h 30m. We observed the=
 Perseid rain this summer from clear sky of Kappadokia (Turkey): the Leonid=
s were always more then four-five time more active for all this hour.
Maximum of the activity about from 1h 55m and 2h 10m UT. At the peak about =
one meteor/sec. (Note that we must rianalize the tape and elaborate the gra=
ph). =

Only two fireballs: the first at 1h 41m TU with persistent train (about ten=
 minutes); the second at 1h 56m, exploded behind the peak of a mountain, ne=
vetherless it made all the sky bright for a moment. =
