(meteorobs) Optimum time to observe the Geminids

Robert;
            I have various times for the maximum of the Geminids.  They
are all on 14 December. The times in California are:

10:49 UT = 02:49 PST    (NAMM)
11:00 UT = 03:00 PST          "
14:00 UT = 06:00 PST        (?)
16:00 UT = 08:00 PST        (?)
18:00 UT = 10:00 PST       ( Observers Handbook 1999 of The Royal
Astronomical Society of Canada)

I guess that does place the maximum in the morning of the 14 Dec. so we
must start observing on the night of 13/14 Dec.  I can see how I may
have made a mistake in the past of deciding when to observe meteors.  I
didn't believe you at first on the time to observe till I made the table
above.
