(meteorobs) Hooked
To everyone:
First of all, thanks to all of you who replied and said to watch the
shower next week (i'm the one with school the next day). I was just
outside hoping to see a sporadic meteor just for fun. With no luck, i
was picking up my blanket from the ground and gave the sky a last glance
when i saw a meteor!! I know it may not be a big deal to everyone, but
for me, it confirmed what all of you say: there is nothing like seeing a
meteor. Imagine a rock the size of a graing of sand that can produce
that! i am totally hooked now, and will for sure be getting up early
next week to see, what i hope to be, something extraordinary.

BTW--i don't know whether it was a Geminid or not. It was only about
7:35 pm here in Virginia. It seemed to come from the West
