Re: (meteorobs) data clearing house

Hi Tom,

Welcome back to the list! This site does serve as a forum for information
and discussion, but observing reports are also posted here. The North
American Meteor Network (NAMN) is the largest amateur group in North America
that deals with meteors (membership is currently at 195 people worldwide)
and is almost totally Internet-based. We do act as a "data clearing house"
and provide collected reports to the American Meteor Society and the
International Meteor Organization, making the data available globally. Our
data is also supplied to other groups on occasion such as NASA and various
universities or observatories.

More information or membership can be obtained from me in private, or from
our web site (address below). There is no charge for NAMN membership.

Hi everyone,
I've just resubscribed after a long hiatus.
Does the site act as a clearing house for actual data or mainly as a forum
for info and discussion.
If not- where do those of you who are experienced send your data for
assimilation.

Glad to be back.
Tom
