(meteorobs) My annual Thank-You
Dear List Members and owner of Meteorobs,
Every year I send a message where I thank everyone for
such a great resource and list- the Meteorobs Mailing
List. This usually comes after a very brilliant meteor
shower, when I get amazed again at the powers and
great gifts of nature and the hobby Astronomy.
This year, the Thank-You should of came after the
Leonids but i didn't have any time to send a message-
so here's my thank-you message:
Thank-You so much! Thanks for sucha great list, which
brought me so much deeper in Amateur Astronomy and
Meteor Observing!
I have recently concluded that I will take a project I
wanted to do a long time- useful meteor observing.
That means- I'm gonna buy a great new tape recorderm
and in the next minor meteor shower I'll start
counting meteors, their speed, length, color,
magnitude, kind, and any other important detail. I'll
be sending my data to the Israeli Astronomical
Association where I'm a member. They have a special
department of Meteor Observing which I'm signed up to.
I have meanwhile decided that my favorite annual
meteor shower is the Perseids. What are your favorites
(and so say the great leonids- I'm taking about the
usual annuals)?
