(meteorobs) error




My earlier report was in error. A corrected version is below. The result
remains unchanged though. -Rik

Equipment:
        C11 with GBC505e video camera unfiltered

I imaged the Mare Imbrium region from 0251-0337UT on 14 Dec.  1999.
Only the events seen by Steve Hendrix (submitted to IOTA) overlapped
this window.  Due to severe scattered light on the tape magnitude
limits could not be accurately determined. Away from the moon this
limit is m(r)=11 and m(v)=10.5. The two times of the possible events
were 02:54:40 and 03:17:52 UT. No position was given. Since WWV was on
the audio track it was relatively easy to pinpoint the times.

Inspection of the tape for some seconds (~10) before and after the
listed events showed no events for that time, using this system in the
region observed.
