In estimating the limiting magnitude by counting stars in the known star
squares and triangles,  do you count the   stars that you can only see
by averted vision?

I had hoped to gain some experience with this method before going out to
observe meteors again, but I have been frustrated by hazy skies and poor
charts.  My printer does not do a good job of reproducing them no matter
their source or type.  Its a very old Hp 540 Deskjet.
