(meteorobs) Fireball report



I'm not sure how to report this but here goes.

Observer Douglas Schmutz
Location  113.39 W 37.08 N Santa Clara Utah
Elev. 2500 Ft.
LM 6.5
5:35 UT 01/03/00
Mag. -13 Fireball
Began at azim. 300 deg. elev. 45 deg.
Ended at azim. 190 deg. elev. 10 deg.
Color orange for 40 deg. changing to green blue.
1 large fragment 1/2 way thru breaking into 4 separate fragments in the
final .5 sec. 
Total duration was 5.5 sec.
Speed 3.
1 sec. train 


This was the most spectacular fireball I have seen in 30 years. 
If I have left something out let me know.
