I understand where Lew is coming from. At least 6 days of my yearly vacation 
is based on sky events. 1999 was a washout as far as meteors are concerned 
though I did get to see some bolides just before the Leonids.  I think I 
should offer my services to the Farmers Almanac as a foul weather predictor.
