Patti,
There are some groups of satellites (like NOSS) that orbit in formation.
I've seen such NOSS groups with the naked eye before, but more usually,
they are binocular objects.  A friendly satellite buff could check if any
of these groups were in the correct part of the sky at the time of your
sighting.
