hello all,
     wouldn't the man he was nearly hit have heard an exremely loud sonic
blast from that piece of ice if it were in fact a piece of a comet?
    you did not state the weather conditions of the time of the impact or
discovery of the ice balls .
could this most likely just have been an atmosheric phonomen or something
similar to a hail storm but with few ice crystals lasting long enough to
reach the ground ? i don't know i am just guessing
