VIR=Virginids, DLE=Delta-Leonids, BHY=Beta-Hydrids, XBO=Xi-Bootids,
TCE=Theta-Centaurids, LHE=Lambda-Herculids.
Locality: Frasso Sabino (Rieti, Italia).
Long. -12.81(west), Lat. +42.23, High 500m.
The LHE=Lambda Hercules is a possible shower observed for the first time by
me and Roberto Gorelli on 6-7/2/1998. In that year I observed 7 LHE in
1.88h over a total of 26 meteors. Also this year we saw several meteors
coming out from this possible shower (see the pattern).
The radiant coordinates in 1998 and the 2000 are the following:
RA 2660 Decl +290 (13 meteors in total drawn in 1998) with speed meteors
(perhaps 50-60 km/sec).
RA 2590 Decl +260 (11 meteors in total drawn in the 2000) always with very
speed meteors.
Anybody of you observed meteors coming from this radiant?
Additionally this year I succed in take a picture of a possible XBO.
