(meteorobs) Namn Observations Jan 2000

It appears that the NAMN web site now lists observations by month --
a most useful and comprehensive list in chronological order by
observer. The Jan 2000 list is of special interest as Quadrantid
numbers can be seen "at-a-glance," and given that the reports are not
limited to North America, some broad generalizations can be made about
that shower. This is particularly nice since the IMO has yet to issue
any Quad 2000 reports! For instance, it seems that while we here in
the "colonies" missed out on the best of the Quads, often-foggy England
didn't.
No doubt all active observers will welcome the opportunity to
compare and contrast their efforts! Thanks Mark, this is long overdue!

Another great site to read recent and past observer
report/narratives (culled from meteorobs) is Gregg Pasterick's "Meteor
and Meteor Shower News." Gregg keeps the site updated frequently - the
recent Xi Bootids are posted topped off by George Gliba's summary of
this new shower. The rest of Gregg's award-winning site is also quite
interesting (pretty cool, too!) -- you can jump off to the meteors
