(meteorobs) Fwd: Iowa fireball/Report Form
Hello All
A friend of mine saw this Last night-- Feb/19/2000 8:15 CST. Anyone else? I
will be assisting her in completing a fireball report. (see below)
I haven't got a direction as of yet, but based on her description, it appears
she was very near the axis. Since she reported no sonic booms, I assume that it
was headed away from her location.
I think the moon was in the southeastern sky last night about that time. Could
anyone assist us in determining what elevation and what azimuth the moon was vic
Des Moines aobut 8:15 CST? (If you can-- I need some help determinging these
things myself--I'd like to learn how or where to look it up!)
If you wish to contact me, please do so directly, as I am on the digest mode and
it takes me a whole day to see it.
Regards,
Elton

Courtesy of Mark Davis is the type data collected from a fireball sighting.
Below is a copy of the form in use by NAMN. Note that we do not "archive"
fireball reports per se, but do collect the reports and forward to Andre
Knoefel at FIDAC (Fireball Data Center). Feel free to cut and paste for your
own use.
