(meteorobs) Observations Mar 05 - Kappa Leonids likely seen.

Last night, I did my usual weekend session from Haleakala National Park,
a combination of Comet/var. star/meteor observing. Conditions were good
on the summit, with calm winds and pleasant observing conditions. LM
started out below average earlier, but improved to 6.6 during the meteor
Teff.

I made a special effort to look out for any "Kappa Leonids" = KLE(?). Of
the 15 meteors seen in 1hr, 2 came from near Regulus. However, the
observed radiant (10:20 +10°) was somewhat S of the claimed one (10:18
+14.7°).

Otherwise, most action was just fainter SPO, typical of a very dark
clear site.

Mike.
