For those searching for a true dark-sky site to travel to for deep-sky and/or
meteor observing, Phil Harrington's Website now has a continent-wide listing:

Of the areas I'm familiar with (New England and FL mostly), I would say it
highlights some of the darkest sites, but not all of course. Still, it is
a fine start at a resource a lot of us can appreciate!
