(meteorobs) Observations April 5/6

Meteor rates rose again last night, making April seem like October (for sporadics).
Period 1 and 3 were both quite strong, with 10 and 11 meteors respectively.  Rates dropped off a bit for period 2.  The Virginids made an average showing with 3 seen during the session.
The higher rates kept me alert.  I also plotted four meteors at 12hrs 50 +0, which is close to the mystery radiant I have seen active for about a week now.
My average LM's were again excellent last night, remaining well above the 6.50 mark all night.  There was a veriable burst of activity  for thirty minutes during period one, with seven meteors seen during that time.  I observed from 12:47 to 3:48AM local time Thursday morning.
The final treat of the night occured as I was beginning my drive home.  Turning onto a dirt road, I spotted a swift -2 or -3 (it was hard to judge through the windshield) that appeared solid white and had no train.  A nice finish to a fairly strong session.
