(meteorobs) Observation May 29/30 - 00

I went out this past monday night/tuesday morning for two hours of observing.  I had to work to get to my site as a large Pecan limb was blocking the way to the abandoned yard which I
use as my site. Things were quite slow; I observed from 01:15 to 03:21 AM local time.  I must admit, the highlight of the evening was a rather swift-moving iridium flare at 2:00AM ... I thought this was rather unusual to occur so deeply in the middle of the night -- it must have been quite high in orbit as I usually see these in the hours before dawn and after dusk.  Anyway, at -2 or -3, it was the brightest object seen all night.
I "bagged" two SAGs during period two, one being the final meteor of the evening and at +1
and a long path length, it was also the nicest meteor seen of the evening.  The "odd" thing about the evening was the number of meteors seen just north of Cygnus.  I failed to plot these
as I was not prepared to plot this area of the sky (sorry, Bob!) but I kept seeing them all in roughly the same area of the sky and traveling the same direction!  The speeds were mixed, though, with two of these as "2's" and two as  "5's."  A fifth meteor seen in this area proved to be my pretty SAG.
All in all it was a slow two hours. I just didn't have the motivation to hang in for another hour and packed it in with just seven meteors seen the second period.
