(meteorobs) Compton Gamma Ray Observatory re-entry
Hi all!
As most of you probably already know, Compton Gamma Ray
Observatory is due to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere at around
June 4 6:20 UT. The satellite is by all means large, if I recall right
the largest dimension is 11 meters. It will probably make one
heck of a fireball - are there any estimates about the brightness
and since the re-entry takes place over Pacific Ocean, will there
be anyone to record it?
Clear skies!!
Jure A.
P.S. - it might be somewhat off topic, but re-entries *are* a part of
meteor business...
