(meteorobs) Observation Report for Oct 01.

Hello Meteorobs,

It has been a dry month for observations, so I decided to pitch in
and do at least an hour of Teff last night. Coincidentally, it was also
our monthly star party at Hawaii Astronomy Society, so I planned
to do my session after midnight. Funny thing, everyone left by that
time despite clear skies, and we were booted out of the site! So,
my friend and I drove to our alternate site at Dole Plantation for this
observation.

Nothing too spectacular to report, except the ANT source seemed
a bit more active than usual, with 4. Regarding that source, Robert
Lunsford mentioned in his weekly Activity Outlook, that the Taurids
would be the ANT meteors this weekend, but according to the
ALPO shower list, NTA/STA don't begin until Nov. 1 (?) Do you
really mean Arietids (OAR) for Anthelions, Robert ?

Have a good month, folks!
Mike.
