The known Soviet astronomer I. S. Astapovich, in the book " Meteoric appearances in a Earth's atmosphere " informs about meteoric shower Canis Majorid, which has produced hundreds meteors for 10-15 minutes, January 2 1878 of RA=105 deg., DEC = - 27 deg. This shower was observed in USA and Ukraina (city Nikolaev). Further, in one of the directories small meteoric showers I have found, that this strong gale has taken place in 1873 of RA=110 deg., DEC = - 26 deg. Here is informed also, that this shower, also, was in a maxima in 1916 and 1959 (period - 43 years). I shall be happy to accept any information on it and others similar little-known meteoric showers.
I agglomerate cases about appearances bright fireballs in neighbourhoods of city Ulianovsk (RUSSIA), where I live (LAT. = 54 deg. 18 min., LONG. = 48 deg. 22 min.). I know such 12 cases (1881-2000). One such case, by December 10 (December 22 on new style) 1895, is description in one of the local newspapers:
"From village Embulatovo, inform, that 10 December (23 December) at 5 1/2 o'clock in the evening was silent and is frosty; there were dense twilights; the sky was of dark - ashy colour and is no was stars. Above a village in the sky suddenly appeared shining gap quadrangular, approximately form, represented golden, even more abruptly by shining spheres as soap bubbles. Instantaneously these brilliant spheres were scattered and were carried by almost horizontally to a north, approximately versty on two (approximately two kilometers), have hidden in the same dark sky, and the phenomen has disappeared not having left any track. Light has made two extremely strong oscillations sharply separable one from another, and its reflection on ground was of double sort: first - blue, and second - pinkish, which has transfered then again in blue; why and were represented three flashes. This phenomen about 3 seconds was prolonged. As far as of this flashes were strong, it is visible, that the people in the streets came in braking and even impinged, and who were in houses were enveloped by unexpectedness and fear. Is most remarkable that from force of light oscillations in some houses go out even lamps, whereas at all it in air was not noted of oscillations and percussions. The similar phenomen was observed as well in city Simbirsk (now city Ulianovsk) between 6-7 o'clock in the evening, December 10, northern part sky on some seconds illuminated by phosphorus by light which has lit a northeast part sky. By newspapers informations, similar it was visible in some places, in neighbourhoods of cities Kazan ' and Simbirsk ".Why go out of a lamps? What reason?

The exotic phenomen was observed in the morning of February 2 in city Ulianovsk. On the sky, not reserving any track, on a high speed has flown by bright fireball.
The eyewitness of event the lieutenant colonel Alexandr has told, that at 3:45 UT from the window of the apartment exiting on a north, he has seen in the sky a kernel surrounded by a red flame. Yellow - red colour the sphere has flown by highly above ground. The object has flown by on absolute straight lines from east on west. In the dark sky, which yet has not lit the Sun, this show looked extremely. When the kernel, surrounded by a red flame, came nearer to horizon, its luminosity decreased. An exotic phenomen Alexandr observed within several seconds. Having come on the service he has told to the colleagues that saw. All were restricted only to jokes, " that only after dream will not see ". Incidentally having met this very day familiar, the lieutenant colonel has transmitted her this news. As was clarified, she too observed from the window of the house this exotic phenomen...
This very day radio station "Maiak" has transmitted the information that above America on a high altitude too has flown by fireball. It has blown up in the sky...

The inhabitants of our city, which could not sleep in night with 14 on August 15, could observe a rare celestial phenomen. Approximately at 22:25 UT at northern part of the sky, west-to-east, has flown by bright fireball.
The speed of the object flying on the sky was approximately one degree per one second, that has allowed to observe it during several minutes. A reason of this phenomen - entrance in high layers of an atmosphere of the cosmic object (or fulfilled the term of service synthetic satellite of the Earth, or meteoritic body).
The earnest entreaty to all probable amateurs of sensations - do not trouble. A honour word, it not by your part.

June 22, 1975 at 1 hour 05 minutes of the Moscow time between cities Ulianovsk and Tol'atty the eyewitness Chernov Boris observed flight fireball. " We were floating on yachts. The fireball had blue colour and oval form. The object has blown up (there was a sound as cotton) and was scattered. The fragments have flight to the Earth ".

February 17, 1959 many inhabitants Ulianovsk of area, behind the river Volga, observed flight fireball. Fireball looked like a fiery sphere by a size about complete Moon, with brighter central part. It has flown by about 6 hours in the morning of local time in east part of the sky northbound, reserving arched bright light.

In a settlement Glotovka, region of city Inza, Ulianovsk the area, January 16, 1953 was observed an exotic celestial phenomen - flight fireball.
About 18 hours 55 minutes on the Moscow time the rather large cosmic body has flown from space in an air envelope of our planet. Moving in a Earth's atmosphere with enormous speed - tens kilometers per one second, it, owing to a resistance of air and air friction, strongly has heated and shined is dazzling by bright light, reserving a fiery bright red tail.
Having flown by above Glotovka in a direction on northwest, fireball in some seconds has blown up in air and was divided into debrises, which were observed as fiery scintillas. Then, through 2 - 3 minutes after explosion fireball the spectators have heard strong sounds like peals of a thunder. A reason these peals was fast variable that squeezing, that extension of air, which has received around of flying fireball.
There are items of information, that fireball has flown by further above a settlement Sosnovka (in 17 kilometers from Glotovka.
The observations of the eyewitnesses allow to make the conclusion, that fireball was scattered on debrises in 40 - 50 kilometers from Glotovka. Is very probable, that many debrises have falled on ground and by careful searches can be retrieved.

Second fireball 1953.

In the silent October evening of 1953 the group of the young people was reverted from dances from city Sengiley in native village Aleshkino. Went on foot. Path transited through ravine, which, on rumour, was chosen by devil forces. Only were lowered in ravine, as suddenly ground was lit as day. Raised a head Vicentiy Goncharov, nowadays working the teacher, has seen, how the sky in some seconds was retraced by a fiery sphere, spraying scintillas and reserving a light zigzag track. After an instant was heard crash, trembled ground.

Per 1935-1938, in May or August, evening, after sunset, in the south Ulianovsk of area, the eyewitness Peter Barinov observed flight fireball.
" Fireball had red colour and flied from a southeast on west. Fireball flied slowly, in a start I have thought, that it - Moon. Then I heard remote explosion."

The exotic pattern of flight fireball was observed in August, 1917 in territory present Ulianovsk of area. Fireball has flown by from a north on a southwest "as a white-gray cloud by the form like a fish with blurred outlines, for which from "of a mouth" was fly out the "cap", which was scattered on scintillas, which surrounded it everything, and fireball as though them pierced; they disappeared, then all was retried again". The eyewitness observed 5 - such 6 "exhalations", was mention, that "cap" took off all time forwards on a course of movement fireball, and then here surrounded it. "There was any rustling, as if the wind in a wood on apexes of trees rustles or the newspaper in hands utter a sound". The flight fireball was prolonged no more than 6 - 7 seconds.

12 May (24) at 9 hours 12 minutes of evening on time Simbirsk, above horizon Promzino, in a direction from east on west, under a corner up to 15 degrees to a surface, has flown by bright fireball.
Fireball was as an incandescent kernel shining by bright - green colour and reserving a lengthy bar of light. The path of flight was almost rectilinear - hyperbola; time in flight 8-10 seconds, when strongly has lit air, as has forced involuntarily to pay attention to such extreme phenomen visible simultaneously on considerable space in villages Promzino, Alatyr' and village Poreckoe (more than 90 kilometers), where however anybody from seeing falling, has not noted a sound. The wood has hindered me to see as this falling has terminated.
This phenomen was visible in neighbourhoods of city Simbirsk (nowadays city Ulianovsk).

The retired lieutenant Alexandr Lobysevich has declared to police, that in 1879, 13 August (25), at 7 o'clock in the evening, on the field, near village Monadysh, he has heard in air a noise and then, approximately, in 10 meters from him, the meteorite has falled which at falling, has made in ground small pit, has recoiled from it approximately on one meter. In 10 minutes after fallings raised from ground a meteorite was warm; weight in it, approximately, three kilogrammes. The stone has the incorrect form; from meteorite was noticeably come off of particles; on a surface the dark-brown colour with gleams, in few places, iron.
The meteorite was devoted to the teacher Simbirsk of a military school Mashin, which has told, that such meteorites not rare and impinge up to 190 for 120 years.
