(meteorobs) Observation October 3/4 2000

On October 3/4, I decided to go out for an early evening meteor
observing. The forecast was for clouding over, so I took a chance and
hoped to get in maybe one hour before the clouds arrived. It turns
out I got lucky and managed to get over 3 hours teff with skies
staying clear until the end!

With average LM of 6.34, I saw only 18 meteors. There was a few long
lulls of inactivity, but I expected that when observing so early
before midnight. The only shower activity detected came from the
October Arietids (anthelions).

The best meteor was a magn -2 yellow/wh from the apex source. It
flared along its path as it shot in Pisces.
