My Guide 7 says that Alcyone has a magnitude of 2.88. As far as the faintest
goes, I guess you could take your choice...As faint as we can see would be
one answer, like 28 or so, but if you mean the range of the naked eye stars
then you probably mean the named stars.... then Merope at 4.17 is the
faintest of the 7 sisters, so the range is only a little over a magnitude.
