(meteorobs) today's news
Today's news item at the Leonid MAC website features the detection
of meteoric debris in the afterglow of a bright fireball. The fireball
appeared near the isle of Corse at 04:00:29 UT on November 18, 2000.
If anyone has more information on this event from ground sites in
France or Italy, let us know! I hope that these news items will inspire
amateur observers to try new approaches to observing the Leonid meteors.
There is much new to be learned!
Let me know if there are amateur observers eager to help professional
observing efforts. Sometimes there are opportunities nearby your location.
