I'm disappointed to say my first night observing was a bomb.  Not a thing zilch!
I did see two sporadics at 8:30 pm pst and 9:02 pst.  The first one was 
low on the horizon very dim (2 0r 3 magnitude) and had no tail.  more of a streak of light.
The second one was mid horizon, had a beautiful head, magnitude -2 easily
I'm working on the proper way of reporting meteor showers bare with me!
