The most of FM receiver has a circuit with AGC pin (but some hasn't).
You couldn't open the receiver in the shop to check the type of
AM/FM IC unfortunately.

I think the best solution is to buy an FM receiver PC card, because
you should check the type the of card's AM/FM integrated circuit.
Then try to find datasheet to the card's AM/FM IC on the Internet.
You should buy the card if the IC has an AGC pin.

I have a Fisher PH-W804 type commercial FM receiver. It has an IC with AGC
pin fortunately. I use it to observe radiometeors.
