Re: (meteorobs) Leonids - colors?

The current thread about colors seems to indicate that a great deal of variance from one observer to the next can occur.  Even photography, while more objective, is still limited in colors recorded by the brand/type of film utilized.  Should color then be considered more of an individual aspect of meteor observing and not an absolute or universal property?

Is data available on color distribution by radiant?  If such information is available, individuals can "see" how their perception compares with others.  Over time this may lead to more uniform (not necessarily more accurate) reporting because observers will know what colors they "should be" seeing.
