Re: (meteorobs) spectacles and LM



Regarding peripheral vision, note that the eye has very poor spatial
resolution there, so the uncorrected region outside the spectacle field of
view may be of little relevance in detection at the periphery.

Whilst I'd have to agree that contacts should be better, I wonder how many
observers have been involved in hunts for lost contacts during an
observing session?  Spare spectacles are certainly an easy solution
to lost or damaged spectacles.
